What's an Aerie? Ask any Prairie Falcon and they will tell you an Aerie is the very best place to raise a family. Airie's are nesting places, usually high on a cliff face, that predators will have trouble reaching. Usually an Aerie takes the form of a small cave or natural cavity, but can also be a flat ledge with an overhangingcliff face above. This gallery takes you along on a couple of my visits to a cliff side Aerie. The images are presented in a, roughly chronological order from no babies to a grown family of Prairie Falcons.
