Winter ildlife should really be called Year Round Wildlife. None of them leave the area in the summer. The name of the game for critters that winter in the park is "find food without becoming food". This is especially tough for the vegetarians because all the vegetation is covered in snow ... often DEEP snow. Some species, like Pronghorn Antelope,opt out for the simpler life at lower elevations. The bears simply sleep through it all.
