I rarely visited the national parks during peak summer months because the animals and I tend to shy away from crowds. So, the images I share in this gallery were probably shot during a Spring or Fall 'shoulder season'. A shoulder season is just after we put the snowmobiles away, or just before we take them out of storage. There are several galleries of images of the wildlife and thermal features in the parks elsewhere in this Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem group, so this gallery is a bonus . Here I have tried to present views of the grand vistas, and unique scenery found in the park . Oh yeah. And what Old Faithful looks like in warmer weather. Remember, there are high elevation roads that have been snow-closed until June!
